Youth Boxing Rules
USA Boxing governs youth boxing in the United States. Kids compete in age divisions (8-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16) and weight classes. Rounds are shorter (1-1.5 minutes for youngest, 2 minutes for older youth). Headgear is mandatory. Scoring is point-based. Referees stop bouts quickly if there is a significant skill mismatch. Coaches must be USA Boxing certified. All competitors must have a USA Boxing passbook.
